Zio Clipper Privacy Policy

Zio Clipper is a Chrome extension that marks an in and out range on the YouTube video you're watching, then sends that range to the Zio Clipper app on your Mac so it can be saved as a b-roll clip with its source record attached.

The extension stores your settings, your hotkeys, and a list of recent clip records in Chrome's own extension storage, on your device. None of this is sent to us or to anyone else.

The Zio Clipper app stores the saved clips themselves, plus tags.tsv and sources.csv (the keyword and source index for your library), a license key, and a trial counter, all on your Mac.

The only thing that leaves your computer is a license key check, sent to our server when you activate the app and again about every 7 days, to confirm your subscription is active.

YouTube downloads are made by the app on your Mac, directly from YouTube. Nothing about the video you're clipping is sent through our servers.

Nothing else is transmitted. There is no analytics and no tracking built into the extension or the app.

Subscription payments are handled by Stripe. We store your email address and your license key so we can manage your subscription, confirm it's active, and handle a cancellation or refund.

Email [email protected] any time to cancel your subscription or to have your record deleted.

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
